Step 1: Comprehensive Assessment (LongiKid® Test)
The therapy process begins with a comprehensive assessment using the LongiKid® test. Based on the results, a personalized therapy plan is created, considering both the child’s developmental level and the family’s capacity for involvement.
The therapy follows a structured and progressive sequence of exercises, gradually increasing in difficulty as the child develops. Parents are trained in the exercises and continue practicing them at home with their child.
Who is TSMT® I Recommended For?
TSMT® I is designed for children aged 3 months to 8 years who exhibit one or more of the following:
- Delayed speech development
- Delayed motor development
- Childhood autism (for non-cooperative children)
- Asperger’s syndrome (for children with cooperation difficulties)
- Severe attention and concentration issues
- Central nervous system damage (CP) under 5 years of age
- Severe learning-based disorders (dyscalculia, dyslexia, dysgraphia)
- Regulation disorders (feeding and sleep problems)
- Behavioral issues, increased aggression
- Anxiety
- Lack of cooperation
- Weak self-regulation skills
- Sensory processing disorders (SPD)
- Preventive use for children with a family history of these conditions
When is Individual TSMT® Therapy Recommended?
Individual therapy is suggested if a child:
- Shows a developmental delay of more than 3-6 months
- Exhibits significant stagnation
- Scores below 50% in Nervous System Maturity and Motor Maturity
- Struggles to understand, imitate, or complete therapy tasks
- Demonstrates regression, opposition, or an inability to stay engaged
- Has difficulty cooperating with professionals
How Long is a TSMT® I Session?
The duration of each session depends on the child’s age and cooperation level:
- 3-12 months old: 20 minutes per session
- Older children: Up to 90 minutes per session
As therapy progresses, exercise repetition time decreases, but for older children, sessions shorter than 30 minutes are ineffective for neurological restructuring.
TSMT® I typically lasts at least six months, after which a follow-up assessment is conducted to determine further therapy goals.
